State of Mind - A Futuristic Thriller Game
State of Mind is a futuristic thriller game developed by Daedalic Entertainment, available on the Play Station 4 platform. The game explores the themes of transhumanism, separation, disjuncture and reunification in a world that is torn between a dystopian material reality and a utopian virtual future.
State of Mind employs multiple playable characters and two separate game worlds, which delve into the existential drama that develops in a society on the brink of post-material existence. You play as Richard Nolan, a father and journalist from Berlin, who is living with incomplete memories after an accident.
As Richard sets out on a dramatic and dangerous search for salvation, he aims to reunite with his family and lost memories. However, on his journey, he realizes that this isn't just about him, but the future of mankind. The game features a 3rd person adventure, story-driven gameplay experience, unique art style, multiple story layers, multiple playable characters, and the ability to switch between two game worlds.
